Day 9

I woke up at KOA to discover A - the zipper on my tent is broken. B - Water got in my tent last night due to a nice rain storm. So it took me a good 30 minutes to shake all the water out of my tent. But after this was done, i went to these two beaches, Clam and Moonstone. They were the most beautiful beaches ever. Clam beach had so many shells. Moonstone, there were surfers, caves, cute little birds, and huge rock formations. It was lovely.

Then I drove up to the redwood forest. Went on this three mile hike through the woods. It was down pouring rain, so i put on three jackets and then headed out. Water got everywhere. Got in my backpack, my camera, my ipod, my shoes (mostly my shoes), my 3 jackets. It was fun but by the end of the hike i wanted to just sit in my car. Oh i forgot, there was a section of the trail that was covered in worms. It was like I was in horror movie or a night terror. I was 1.2643529 seconds away from having a legit panic attack. I ran so fast through that part of the trail. Good thing no one was around because they would have thought i was some insane little girl from Utah running like a gold medal Olympian through the forest. When i got out of that section i was good. Eventually i got back to my car and changed in my car getting everything that was wet off of me. Then i headed to Jedediah Smith redwoods. I took the total roundabout way there. I was off roading in the the Jetta. Straight up. It was a little scary at times but i got through it. I'm so so glad that i took that way because it was so beautiful. I have a picture, ill upload it later. Then i ended up at the camp ground and half of the sites were closed and the other half were flooded. So once again... In a motel room in Bookings Oregon. All in all, i had, once again, an amazing day. :)
